I recently finished my level 3 CIPD course through Avado. The online platform was a breeze to navigate, and my tutor, Anna, was fantastic—always supportive and ready to lend a hand!

I'm about to kick off my Level 5 HR course with Avado. I had given the apprenticeship route a shot before, but I figured the 11-month self-funded option suited me way better.

I switched over pretty quickly and was able to chat about a payment plan that worked for me.

There was a little hiccup with my dashboard not reflecting the course changes, so I reached out to Student Services. Vicki was super helpful in sorting out my problem fast and kept me in the loop with emails the whole time.

I'm starting my first unit on Monday, and I can't wait!

Edit: I'm updating my review to give a better rating since they've sorted out the problem I was facing. Plus, my stars really reflect how amazing my tutor is (Wellington Mloyi) – he’s just truly exceptional.

Steer clear of L5 with Avado; I wouldn’t suggest it at all. It started off pretty rough with different tutors for each module, and it was a total mess with wrong emails and concerning info sent out multiple times, needing fixes from CIPD because Avado was completely misunderstanding things and giving us bad advice.

My main frustration, though, is with a specific assessor who keeps marking my work down, saying my plagiarism score is too high and I need to cut it down. BUT, when I looked into it, the algorithm is just picking up on my references and bibliography. All my work is clearly my own, which is obvious in the document she’s talking about. I find this feedback utterly baffling and totally unprofessional. After putting in so many hours of hard work and study, getting this kind of ridiculous feedback is just so disheartening and infuriating!

It’s especially disappointing because my current tutor is fantastic, and I feel like Avado is really letting him down. It’s literally 5am, and I’m so stressed about this course that I can’t even sleep. I’m just too upset.

Avoid this place!

During the Christmas season, I jumped back into my studies after taking a break for half a year. Naturally, many businesses were closed for the holidays, but Avado had some staff available. Ellie from student support was fantastic; over the course of three weeks, I shot her around eight emails with all sorts of questions and tasks. She replied promptly and professionally every time, and I can't thank her enough!
